At 8:30 am, Pingree Grove & Countryside responded for a Semi-Truck and SUV Accident on Rt 47 and Bahr Rd. On arrival Personnel found a Semi-truck Leaking Fuel and a Vehicle off the Road with Heavy Damage, the Vehicles were about a block apart with Debris all over the Roadway. 1202 took Command, 1214 & 1213 Blocked the Roadway, 1301 was operations at the South end and in charge of leak control. 1251 Obtained 3 medical releases. The fuel leak was stopped and contained. Rt 47 was closed from Bahr Rd to Rohrsen Rd for 2.5 hours and is still closed at the time this is being written. IDOT is responding with sand and a Street Cleaner to clean the roadway. Scene was turned over to the Kane County Sheriff's.
At 9:53 am Pingree Grove & Countryside and Hampshire responded for a single vehicle off the Road on the 12N000 Block of Bahr Rd, prior to returning from the Rt 47 Accident. On arrival Personnel found a single vehicle accident with minor damage. A medical release was obtained, and the scene was turned over to the Kane County Sheriff's.
