At 6:59 am Hampshire was dispatched for an accident on Westbound I-90 at Mile Marker 39.5. Pingree Grove & Countryside and Burlington were also dispatched Auto Aid. While enroute units were notified the there was entrapment and it was a vehicle vs Semi Truck. On arrival Personnel found a Vehicle with Heavy Damage 1 occupant needing Extrication and the other occupant out of the vehicle. 1202 took command and requested a Medical Helicopter. 1451 started Medical Care, and 1411 preformed Extrication. 1401 was Landing Officer. 1213 assisted with Patient care. Extrication was completed, and the patient was moved to the Helicopter Landing site by 1451. 1351 obtained a medical release from the second occupant. The Patient was transported to a Level One Trauma center by LifeNet Medical Helicopter. The Scene was turned over to Illinois State Police, and is under investigation. Two Lanes of Westbound I-90 were closed for an undertermined time.
