Yesterday evening at 5:00 pm, Pingree Grove & Countryside responded for a Field Fire in the area of Route 72 East of Big timber Rd. While enroute Dispatch advised that it may be a Semi-Trailer Fire. On arrival Personnel found a 40 foot Semi-Trailer on the property at 40W815 Route 72 burning. The Trailer was fully Involved. Personnel had problems accessing the Fire (Vehicle Blocking the Driveway, Closed & Locked Gate, Mud and Soft Peat) Personnel found that the Trailer was being used as a Chicken Coop. Fire was Extinguished. Appx 2000 Gallons of water was used. Personnel had to preform extensive overhaul. About 18 Chickens were missing and possibly perished. The Fire is under Invevestigation. Route 72 was Closed for about an 1.5 hours.
