The Keep the Wreath Red Campaign has been used by Fire Departments and Fire Districts for over 25 years to raise awareness of the increase of Fires durning the Holiday Season. Because of the use of flammable decorations, candles and cooking of Holiday Foods, there is an increasing number of Fires in the United States. During the Holiday season, Fire Stations now display Wreaths decorated with Red Lights Only. Everytime a Fire occures within the community due to the Holidays, a Red Bulb is replaced with a White Bulb to remind residents to practice Fire Safety, not just during the Holidays, but at ALL Times. The Pingree Grove & Countryside Fire Protection District has placed Wreaths at all of our Fire Stations, and lets KEEP the Wreaths Red. |
