Two Early Morning Accidents

This morning at 2:39 am, Pingree Grove & Countryside responded for a vehicle accident on McDonald Rd between Dittman Rd & Crawford Rd. Call was dispatched as a vehicle that had hit a pole. On arrival personnel found a tree across the roadway and two vehicles that had hit the tree. Both occupants signed medical releases. Pingree Personnel cut and removed the tree from the roadway. The scene was turned over to the Campton Hills P/D and is under investigation.

While units were in route to the McDonald Rd call, we were dispatched an additional call at 2:52 am for a Tractor Trailer roll over with extrication on Plank Rd West of Switzer Rd. Upon arrival, units found a semi truck hauling corn flipped on its drivers side. No extrication was needed, but the driver needed to be assisted out of the truck. The Driver signed a medical release. Plank Road was closed for a total of 2 hours to upright the Truck and Trailer. The scene was turned over to Kane County Sheriff's. The cause of the accident is under investigation. As of 11:00 an this morning cleaning up the grain that had spilled on the roadway and culverts was still underway.
