Accident w/Extrication

Yesterday evening at 7:26 pm (12/07/23) Pingree Grove & Countryside Responded for an accident on Route 72 East of Reinking Rd. Engine 1213 was just West of the accident scene on route 72 when the accident occurred. Engine 1213 called in the accident and was on the scene immediately. On arrival personnel found a two vehicle accident with heavy damage. Vehicle A had two patients pinned, while vehicle B, had a patient ejected. Additional ambulances, engines and a medical helicopter were requested to the scene. A second medical helicopter was requested to the scene. Personnel worked on an extended extrication on vehicle A due to the damage and injuries of one of the patients. Personnel had to remove the roof, doors and had roll up the dashboard to remove the patients. Two patients were transported via helicopters and one patient was transported via ambulance. The scene was turned over to the police and is under investigation. Route 72 was closed from Reinking Rd to Big Timber Rd for the investigation.
